Tony O’Neill’s poem on Liverpool’s year as European Capital of Culture earned him the title of Liverpool People’s Poet in 2009. Since then he has become a regular writer and performer of his poems on Merseyside, winning several awards and the occasional smattering of applause. He firmly believes that tweeting is for birds, but feels he may be obliged to do some just to sell this bloody book.
Buddha in a Hat is his first published collection.
